Nicky Whelan is an Australian actress and model. She was born on the 10th of May, 1981. She gained fame in Australia for her role as Pepper Steiger, which she played over a 100 episodes on the soap opera Australian Neighbors between 2006 and 2007. In Hollywood it was her first time on two different projects. The first was Hollywood & Wine in which she portrayed a young, aspiring actress. After that, she landed a role as Maya an extremely seductive medical student in Scrubs' ninth season. The show was then abruptly canceled. After that, she continued filming the Farrelly Brothers comedy called Good to Shoot, which starred Jason Sudeikis as well as Owen Wilson. Then she played in B-series film and short series. It was in 2013 that she was discovered to a wider audience. After being featured in six episodes of the detective drama Franklin and Bash and landing her first role as a regular in the webseries Chosen with Milo Ventimiglia, the actress landed a series of projects. Also, she was the answer to Chad Michael Murray to the first two seasons. In the following seasons, she was in supporting roles in two feature films which took place on aircrafts. The first was a television film for SyFy's Flight 7500, featuring actors from television shows. Another film can be seen in Le Chaos with Nicolas Cage. She plays a flight attendant. Matador is a tv show that she created together along with Gabriel Luna. The current season of the crime drama, in which actors portray CIA agents under Robert Rodriguez's direction, is only 13 episodes. However, she continues on with the pilot episode for an additional television show. The trailer of Borrowed Moments, a B series romance, was released by Brian Krause in 2015. She then starred as Josh Gad Kadi Kevin Hart and as Kadi Hart in the comic Witness for Rent. The experimental Knight of Cups, directed by Terrence Malick, was distributed widely. She appears in 5 episodes of Satisfaction.

Buring was born in Sweden however she grew up in the Middle East. She went to high school at the American British Academy in Muscat, Oman with actor and producer Stegath Dorr who was a childhood friend of hers. Buring moved to England at the age of sixteen years old. Buring graduated in 2004 from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
