Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an writer, journalist, TV host, and also the proprietor of The Huffington Post. Originally from Greece Arianna Huffington immigrated to England with her family at 16 years old. At Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. Being the first non-English-speaking student, she was elected president of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. Her popularity as a columnist of the conservative side was confirmed after she graduated. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online voice portal that offered an honest assessment of the current politics. Her fame and popularity helped to get a number of prominent contributors to share their opinions on politics news and culture. Arianna became famous when she made the decision to run independently in the California recall vote to succeed then Governor Davis. In addition, she led the Detroit project that promoted fuel efficient cars. She was named The Most Influential Women in Media in 2009 by Forbes in 2009, gaining the 12th spot on this list. In the same year Guardian listed her among the 100 most influential media on their list. AOL, Inc. named her president of their media group in 2011 after they purchased The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post also included the other AOL brands like Engadget, AOLmusic Style list or Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli the other, both of whom are journalist and management consultants. They were very close to her father, but it was her bond with her mother which formed her. In her earliest times, she demonstrated the qualities of a leader for which are still prominently known. When she was 16 she moved back to United Kingdom to pursue her study and then enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined Cambridge Union, a college debate club. As the third woman president and the first foreigner she held the position of head of the Cambridge Union. She graduated in 1972 with a master's degree in Economics. The career of TV host and journalist was born after graduation. In addition, she was a part of the series Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books taking editorial help from Bernard Levin.
