Summer Glau
Glau's first TV appearance was as a guest actor in the episode in 2002 of Angel. Director Joss Whedon was impressed and cast her as River Tam on his short-lived TV series Firefly. The actress also appeared in the role of the sequel Serenity. Glau had applied previously to play the Power Ranger (White Wild Force Ranger Alyssa Erile) role in Power Rangers Wild Force, however, she was beaten by Jessica Rey. She had a small role in the movie Sleepover where she played high school senior Shelly. She was also in the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom? " in season two of The Unit as Crystal Burns (the boyfriend of Jeremy Erhart). Glau was Tess Doerner (a paranoid, schizophrenia-prone returnee) in the second season of The 4400. From season three, she was an recurring character. Mammoth was her role in the horror comedy. Glau appeared in The Initiation of Sarah, an ABC Family TV film. Glau played Cameron Phillips an infiltration unit of the Terminator returned to Skynet to guard John Connor (and Sarah Connor). The seventh episode, "The Demon Hand" featured several scenes in which Glau (in her role as Cameron) moves ballet. In addition, Glau also played Allison Young (Cameron's human doppelganger) in the second season episodes "Allison from Palmdale" and "Born to Run". Glau was also in the episode The Big Bang Theory, an CBS show that is a comedy of situations.
